Publication pathways

Option 1 is the Independent Submission Pathway. This option is great for people who have previous publishing experience. Authors pursuing this option read the material under the “Guide and Template” tab of the Kairaranga website, including the “Author Guidelines for submitting to Kairaranga”, and independently submit their manuscript. Once they have submitted their manuscript, an editor reviews it and then sends it for peer review by two researchers with relevant expertise. The editor then reads the peer reviews and decides whether the manuscript should be accepted, accepted pending some changes, or declined, and communicates this decision to the author or authors.

 

 

Option 2 is the Supported Publication Pathway. After considering the reviewers' feedback on your article, the Editor may offer to meet with you to discuss the Supported Publication Pathway. This option is intended for authors who need a small amount of support to revise their article for publication in Kairaranga. During the meeting, the Editor will outline the type of support available to assist you in preparing your revised submission.  

Option 3 is the Co-author Publication Pathway. The Editor may determine that your article has the potential to make a valuable contribution to Kairaranga, but that it requires substantial revision before it is ready for publication. In some cases, we may be able to partner you with a more experienced researcher who can co-author the revised article and support you through the development process.
